The "Your Mona Lisa" Photoshop contest was held in May 2011. The participants were asked to follow the steps described in the "Replace Mona Lisa" Photoshop tutorial in order to create their images.

  • The second winning entry is the "Cross Dresser" by 'alizajane', who chose the Old Paper and the Postage Stamp actions as her prize.
  • The third winner is "Mona Ginerva" by 'kathykid', who picked a copy of the Vintage Photo Photoshop actions.
A few words from Paul, the winner of this contest, who is notably using PS Elements 9:

"The "Mona Rocks" composition was created after i spent considerable time studying the original Mona Lisa painting, i was first drawn to the position of Mona Lisa's hands and thought that maybe she could be holding a guitar, after using an image of a country and western guitar player as a positional template. I started by positioning the graphics but found i had to do quite a lot of photoshop manipulation to enable me to get Mona Lisa's arm and hands to look realistic, after a while of resizing, colouring and altering the perspective of certain graphics it all came together.
I am truly delighted my composition was chosen as the winner amongst so many well executed images. I would like to thank Panos and the panel of experts and Panos members for their votes."

Congratulations to the winners and to all participants for your beautiful entries! Below you can see the top 20 images of this Photoshop contest:
