The following video will show you how to use the Puzzle Effects actions to create an impressive 3D scene in Photoshop CS5 Extended. The action used is the 20-pieces (available in both the free & commercial versions).

You will learn how to use Repoussé to turn 2D layers into 3D meshes, merge 3D layers and use the bunch of 3D tools available in the brand new 3D panel in PS CS5 Extended.

Click on the filmstrip below to watch a lower-resolution video version. Click on "Watch in HD" to watch a high-definition version in YouTube.

NOTES:
1. In order for Repoussé to work you should enable OpenGL in Photoshop's preferences (press Control-K / Cmd-K and click the 'Performance' tab).
2. Repoussé doesn't work in old video cards that don't support OpenGL
3. A 1800px x 1200px image was used in this tutorial. You may want to tweak the Repoussé parameters slightly if your image has a different size.
