A new Action! This one takes a bit of working out and playing around with to get a good result.
Here's the first decent one I've produced. I merged it with the Retro round with lace action to give it a bit more interest.

Peter, thanks for starting this thread!
My initial aim, when I started developing this set of actions, was to craft a tool that would let the user create easily 6-fold snowflakes. You know how it goes, in the process new ideas come in and are incorporated.
My favorite effect remains the 6-fold symmetry, just like the real snowflakes. I like to paint random strokes and see the result, like in the image below:

Hi Panos. Yes, ideas do have a way of changing as you develop them don't they.
One of the things I like about your actions is that they can be used in so many different ways and can be incorporated as part of other creations.

Drawing lines and other random squiggles can produce some interesting results.
This is my, fairly basic, snowflake.

Peter, they are nice, especially the first one where you also used the lace action for the finishing touch
Panos your drawning is also very nice, unfortunately I can't draw, my lines look like nothing when I try to draw a line with a brush
I used a watercolor image for my example and copied parts of it at my image

Interesting it is -- great idea to combine with the round lace.

Elly, I'm using a Wacom graphics tablet to draw these lines, that's why they look smooth. The mouse doesn't help much. In the latest Photoshop CC version you can use the new "Smoothing" slider, in the brush options bar, to create smoother lines.
